The Team: The Fertecon Analysis team is part of the S&P Global Agribusiness business unit and sits in the Fuels, Chemicals and Resource Solutions business line within the Commodity Insights division. For more than 40 years it has been the leading source of market information and analysis on fertilizers and fertilizer raw materials, producing a range of short- and long-term analysis products to provide data, analysis and insight on the fertilizer market and products.
The Impact: You will be a key member of the Fertilizers Analysis team, reporting to the head of phosphates analysis. You will be trained to perform analytic and modeling processes in order to generate forecasts and insights on both market fundamentals (supply/demand/trade flows) and monetary measures (costs, prices, margins), generating content and analysis for our regular Outlook reports.

Responsibilities:
At its core, the role encompasses the preparation of our long-term analytics reports on phosphates: Phosphate Outlook and Phosphate Raw Materials Outlook;
Maintain, update and improve models to forecast supply, demand, trade, costs and prices across the phosphate value chain;
Develop productive work relationships with colleagues from other divisions, e.g. peers focusing on related chemicals, or our price assessment team, to ensure the consistency and depth of our analysis;
Represent the S&P Global brand at international industry events and dedicated client interactions, discussing market developments and presenting a professional and positive impression of S&P Global's fertilizer analysis to the industry;
Supporting where appropriate the development of new products and our commercial success, including assistance to our product management, customer service, marketing and sales teams.
What We're Looking For:
The most important aspect: innate curiosity and a thirst for learning. You will be require to develop independent analysis and deliver it to our customers - drive and passion about the subject matter will be the most important foundation.
Qualifications and experience: University degree or above (or equivalent certification/training), ideally in relevant subjects such as economics or agronomics. Previous relevant work experience in the wider fertilizer/agribusiness/commodities industry, while not strictly necessary, is preferred.
Strong command of English language, preferably with direct experience in producing written analytical reports.
Literacy in the MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and wider digital literacy; knowledge of programming languages such as Python an advantage.
