PHILANTHROPIC DUE DILIGENCE ANALYST I, Resource Development, to conduct highly specialized research to ensure the Institute's philanthropic relationships and commitments are consistent with its mission and values. Will be responsible for gathering and synthesizing a wide-range of reputational and legal information and summarizing pertinent facts to inform executive-level decision makers about the potential issues that could arise from philanthropic engagement and gift acceptance; coding and storing related information to enable case tracking and reporting for fundraisers and senior-level stakeholders; and implementing policies, informing the advancement community on best practices, and negotiating a variety of competing interests.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; two years' research or relevant work experience; strong research skills, including the ability to analyze and synthesize information from various sources; excellent organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, relationship-building, and written and verbal communication skills; ability to store, manage, and communicate highly sensitive and confidential information with tact and discretion; ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including senior-level personnel; ability to negotiate competing interests, opinions, and/or expectations; initiative and willingness to ask questions, solicit additional information, and get clarification before executing tasks; meticulous attention to detail and data accuracy; ability to meet deadlines and work under time constraints; flexibility; and proficiency with computers and standard applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, and PowerPoint. PREFERRED: experience with online databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Dow Jones Factiva), prospect or philanthropic due diligence research or fundraising; case or project management experience; and working knowledge of Advance CRM, Jira, Confluence, and Dropbox.
