Job Summary:
CCRI's Department of World Languages and Cultures invites applicants for future adjunct positions. This posting is not for an immediate vacancy but for upcoming opportunities. By applying, you will be placed in a pool of candidates who will be reviewed when a suitable position becomes available.
SUBJECTS:
World Languages and Cultures: Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese or German.
Duties and Responsibilities:
DUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach elementary, intermediate, and specialized courses in World Languages and possibly in a second language needed at CCRI
Use innovative instructional strategies that support student success and recognize diverse
learning styles
Participate in curriculum and program design/ development and outcomes assessment
Use technology to teach distance-learning courses and enhance instruction/ teach asynchronous courses
Contribute to a dynamic student-centered environment requiring adaptability, creativity, and
teamwork
Demonstrate commitment to the community college mission and its diverse student
populations
Serve on college-wide committees and engage in departmental discussion and development
Be willing to commute and teach at multi-campus locations as required by department needs

Instructional Skills:
Plan, develop, present, and modify courses from proposal, to syllabus, to delivery (classroom, hybrid, or online), to assessment, to evaluation
Teach assigned courses
Convey knowledge and skills effectively to students
Continue professional development as an educator
Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities
Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes
Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers
Minimum Requirements:
M.A.T. in Foreign Languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese or German)
Master's degree or above in Foreign Languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese or German)
Competencies:
Master's degree in Foreign Languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese or German) with a second language professional proficiency
M.A.T. in Foreign Languages (Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese or German) with a second professional proficiency
Minimum of three years' teaching experience at the community college / Or university level preferred, or equivalent 3 years' experience at the secondary level
