Corporate Bank Phoenix
Within the Corporate Bank Germany, the Phoenix Program is established to focus on the 2029 target operating model, business and required technical architecture to enable a new level of efficiency and quality of customer experience.
Through the Phoenix Program our target is to redesign our processes to make efficiency gains and therefore reduce our cost-to-service. At the same time, we want a first-class customer experience throughout the entire client lifecycle, starting with onboarding, which will allow us to make better use of our clients' wallets in the long term. We aim to increase scalability through a globally consistent, modern tech and data platform.
In Phoenix Corporate Bank's business and DB technology staff work integrated in agile teams what provides engineers a unique opportunity to apply latest technology while learning about the products and processes of the bank.
As Lead Java Engineer (f/m/x) Phoenix Process you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of development tasks, starting from specification and design to successful implementation and level 3 production support of process automations.

Your key responsibilities
Laying the tech foundations for our development squads to build best-in-class process automation solutions, aligned with DB Group technology standards.
Working with Business on functional and non-functional requirements, technical analysis and design, document business requirements, design solutions and API requirements
Design and develop end-to-end automations solutions.
Training and testing, reviewing other team member's changes.
Co-working with QA engineers on test automation of new and existing functionality.
Present solutions in internal councils (incl. legal, data protection, control-functions)
When product and architecture experience gained, mentor and direct more junior engineers.
Your skills and experiences
Seasoned passionate engineering leader that continuously improves delivery teams.
University degree with technological or scientific focus.
Strong and deep knowledge of most recent technologies, be it GCP, programming languages (Java), databases, and BPA solutions like Camunda
Great communication and influencing skills; being able to identify and explain the pros and cons of complex technical solution also to non-technical people.
Drive the decision-making process on new solutions together with our architects.
Deep understanding on various architecture and solution patterns.
Being a good team player and able to communicate fluently in English. German is a Plus.
