POSITION SNAPSHOT
Start Date: July 1, 2025 - This is a 12-month position.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 (salary is based upon but not limited to factors including years of experience, education level, and expertise)

St. Luke’s School is seeking an inaugural Director of Auxiliary Programs & Alternative Revenue. The successful candidate will have a strong enthusiasm for auxiliary programming for young people, possess an entrepreneurial approach to program development, have a passion for innovation, communicate clearly, take initiative, and develop organizational systems to meet deadlines and deliver outstanding programs. Ideally, this person has had experience leading educational, after school or camp programming and is excited about building programs and enhancing existing initiatives.
DIRECTOR OF AUXILIARY PROGRAMS EXPECTATIONS
Position Expectations
Auxiliary Program
An entrepreneurial spirit. Resourceful, innovative, and forward-thinking.
Independent and strategic thinker who is capable of understanding the full scope of projects while being able to manage individual tasks to completion.
Responsible for all school programs outside of the day program and athletics, including but not limited to the After School Program, summer programs, teams, clubs, workshops, etc.
Design, enhance, and expand program offerings.
Develop and monitor budgets for programs to ensure profitability and access.
Manage registration for all programming.
Ensure appropriate staffing levels for all programs.
Oversee, train, and supervise staff for programs.
Research, procure, and build relationships with outside vendors to provide programming.
Manage daily operations for the auxiliary programs, including arrival, dismissal, and security needs.
Coordinate and work with program coordinators to secure permits, comply with DOH guidelines, engage and communicate with vendors.
Collaborate with Communications, Chief Community Officer, and Head of School on a comprehensive marketing strategy for all programming.
Manage all marketing initiatives including mailers, brochures, camp fairs, etc.
Write and distribute regular communications to program staff, students, and parents that effectively provide updated information, program details, and a sense of community.
Seek and regularly analyze input from participants, parents, and professional staff regarding the quality and demand of the program experience.
Work with professional staff to ensure seamless communication between the school day and the after school programs.
Collaborate with the Head of Lower School and Head of Upper School to enhance current day programs and to strategically expand offerings for all students, especially Upper School students.
Collaborate with the student support team and the lower and upper school leadership to establish student expectations and norms.
Manage sensitive and confidential situations.
Alternative Revenue
Explore new offerings and initiatives to generate additional revenue, including programs, grant research, and grant writing.
Collaborate with the Chief Financial and Operations Officer, Chief Community Officer, and Head of School on alternative revenue opportunities.
Create plans and budgets that include staffing needs to implement and start new initiatives.
Continually explore innovative opportunities to leverage the intellectual and physical assets of the school, including optimizing the use of the school facilities outside the school day and school year.
Additional Responsibilities:
Teach a class or lead a team as part of Auxiliary Programming each trimester.
Collaborate with Divisional Leadership, Technology Department, Student Support Services, and faculty to understand how to connect Auxiliary Programming and Alternative Revenue experiences with the day program.
Work with the Director of Facilities and Chief Finance and Operations Officer on facility rentals

Participate in and attend faculty/staff meetings and committees, including school-wide initiatives about issues of equity, pedagogy and curriculum.
Participate in the life of the school, including attendance at required events such as curriculum night, parent conferences, grade-level cocktail party, Christmas Fair, Spring Benefit, and school games and events.
Enforce school policies and rules with students.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite Faculty members also need to be proficient with Google Classroom and have the ability to use classroom technology such as Smart Boards, Zoom, etc.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in education or relevant field
Master’s Degree a plus
5+ years experience in an education setting. Summer/auxiliary programs experience a plus
Grant writing and research a plus
Highly organized with an ability to multitask and prioritize work
