About This Internship
Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.
About This Role
The ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) & Community Impact interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of environmental, social, or governance initiatives. Within the ESG team, there is the option to focus primarily on Community Impact or Corporate Sustainability Strategy & Reporting.
The Community Impact Intern will:
Support Arch's Volunteer-Time-Off and Matching Gift programs.
Support the Arch Group Foundation as needed.
Conduct Community Impact research and benchmarking to determine best practices and emerging trends.
Assist with the preparation of materials, resources, or communications related to Arch’s Community Impact programs, to increase employee awareness and engagement.
Assist with sustainability related projects as assigned.
The Corporate Sustainability Strategy & Reporting Intern will:
Support greenhouse gas measurement and sustainability data analysis.
Support environmental and governance initiatives to enhance sustainability outcomes.
Conduct ESG research and benchmarking to determine best practices and emerging trends.
Stay up to date on industry standards and regulations related to ESG reporting.
Assist with the preparation of materials, resources, or communications related to ESG initiatives to increase education, documentation, and engagement.
Assist with sustainability related projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Actively completing area of study in Environmental Science, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability Management, Communications, Business, or relevant program.
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
College level - current Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
Interest in the insurance and/or financial services industries.
Microsoft Office experience strongly preferred.
Interest in ESG, sustainability and social purpose/corporate citizenship.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
Comfortable conducting research, analyzing data and sharing findings in a way that’s organized and easy to understand.
Experience planning/organizing (volunteer) events a plus.
Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
Team player who collaborates effectively.
Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Work Arrangement
The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.
This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
This position is in White Plains, NY.
Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.

Pay
For individuals assigned to or hired to work in White Plains, NY, the hourly rate is $22-30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students. Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate. The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
