Massasoit Community College is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as the Associate Dean of the Future of Work Institute. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education, grant writing, academic programming, and community outreach. This role involves significant collaboration with faculty, staff, community partners, and corporate stakeholders to enhance our academic offerings and promote environmental sustainability.
The Associate Dean of the Future of Work Institute provides leadership, direction, and oversight of programs to include. The Associate Dean of the Future of Work Institute is responsible for engaging both internal and external stakeholders through promotion of workforce programs, student recruitment, and for providing leadership and oversight of the Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology programs in support of the college's mission.
DUTIES:
Under the supervision of the Associate Vice President of the Future of Work Institute, the Associate Dean will demonstrate excellence in the following areas:
Assesses the educational needs of the workforce industry in Massasoit's service area and customizes educational programming to meet their needs.
Adhere to all administration guidelines and deadlines of the Collective Bargaining Agreements for full-time and part-time staff.
Oversee student and instructor recruitment for Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology programs.
Hire, orient, assign, supervise, and evaluate all Diesel Technology instructors.
Oversee the scheduling and assignment of the Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology instructors for all day, evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and video conference classes.
Support and collaborate with Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology program instructors on the inclusion of high impact practices in their teaching strategies.
Align curricula and programs with third-party state, federal, and industry-recognized accreditation bodies.
Oversee all Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology student registrations and collaborate with the Registrar's Office as needed.
Maintain an organized system of tracking Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology registrations and enrollments.
Evaluate and analyze meaningful student outcome data and other successes of the Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology programs to inform future course offerings and program development.
Collaborate with the Grants Department staff in writing, submitting, and obtaining grants to support The Future of Work Institute programming.
Oversee and administer awarded grants.
Write clear year-end grant reports as required.
Recruit, orient, supervise, and evaluate all full-time and part-time professional Correctional Education and Returning Citizens program, Apprenticeships and Diesel Technology staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve on college committees and task forces.
Serve on relevant search committees and college committees
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Interaction:
The Associate Dean of the Future of Workforce Institute must be able to work with individuals and groups both on and off campus including prospective and current students, academic leaders, community-based social service providers, business leaders, and civic organizations.

Diesel Technology Department faculty (full time and adjunct)
Correctional Education and Returning Citizens Program Coordinator
Job Requirements:
Master's degree in higher education administration or a relevant field.
Proven experience in academic programming and planning.
Familiarity with accreditation bodies processes and standards.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Minimum of 3-5 years of college academic administrative experience or equivalent; community college preferred.
Understanding of the community college history, mission, and its goals of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion
Grant writing and grant administration experience
Demonstrated awareness of current trends in criminal justice reform, workforce education, and local labor market trends
Ability to develop, administer, and manage budgets
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
Two years teaching experience within a community college setting, preferably in a Diesel Technology program.
Demonstrated experience working within correctional education programs
Background in environmental sustainability and renewable energy initiatives

Supervisor: Reports directly to the Associate Vice President of the Future of Work Institute
Hours: 37.5 hours
Salary: $90,627.00 - $117,815.00 commensurate with education, and experience.
Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites and additional locations as necessary.
