Team / division overview
EMEA Alternative Credit is a key growth pillar of the EUR 115bn DWS Alternatives franchise. The Alternative Credit platform aims to build diversified portfolios across Direct Lending, Leveraged Loans and Structured Credit that deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns with a focus on capital preservation to a broad spectrum of investors including governments, corporations, insurance companies and private clients.
Role Details
As an Originator, you will be part of a team focusing on Direct Lending Origination across the DACH region and be responsible for:
Working closely with existing Direct Lending investment team to originate and execute transactions across the DACH region
Support the local head of origination in maintaining financial sponsor client and advisor relationships through effective communication
Evaluates, structures and executes investment opportunities and transactions to support execution
Supporting investment and structuring teams with legal documentation, processes, and procedures
Prepare and present investment committee memorandums to the Investment Committee
Review, prepare and sensitive investment case models to senior management
Evaluating credit risks across multiple factors such as industry trends, markets conditions and potential borrowers
Ensuring regulatory compliance by staying updated on relevant regulations and ensuring compliance with internal and external guidelines
We are looking for:
A strong background in Corporate Alternative Credit transactions with a focus on Leveraged/Direct Lending
Proven technical analysis skills, with experience of conducting due diligence and financial modelling of Corporate Credit investments
Solid experience across private loan investment management gained from a credit fund, commercial or investment bank, hedge fund or mezzanine fund with knowledge of LP relations
Experience working with financial sponsors and debt advisors. Existing network and relationships is a plus, but not a requirement
Experience of producing credit investment proposals and supporting documentation for Investment Committees
Experience of managing risk controls within an investments environment, with good understanding around the fiduciary duty of care
Educated to degree level in a Finance related discipline from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) or an acceptable level of industry experience

Als Originator sind Sie Teil des Direct Lending Origination Teams und sind verantwortlich für:
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit dem bestehenden Direct Lending-Investmentteam, um Transaktionen in der gesamten DACH-Region zu initiieren und durchzuführen

Was wir suchen:
Tiefe Erfahrung in Corporate Alternative Credit-Transaktionen mit Schwerpunkt auf Leveraged/Direct Lending
Nachgewiesene technische Analysefähigkeiten mit Erfahrung in der Durchführung von Due Diligence und Finanzmodellierung von Unternehmenskreditinvestitionen
Solide Erfahrung im privaten Kreditinvestitionsmanagement, erworben bei einem Kreditfonds, einer Geschäfts- oder Investmentbank, einem Hedgefonds oder Mezzanine-Fonds, mit Kenntnissen über LP-Beziehungen
Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit Finanzsponsoren und Schuldenberatern. Bestehende Netzwerke und Beziehungen sind von Vorteil, aber keine Voraussetzung
Erfahrung in der Erstellung von Kreditinvestitionsvorschlägen und unterstützender Dokumentation für Investitionsausschüsse
Erfahrung im Management von Risikokontrollen in einem Anlageumfeld mit gutem Verständnis der treuhänderischen Sorgfaltspflicht
