My client is seeking a talented Rapid Application Developer to join their expanding team covering global derivatives trading.
The team dedicated to the rapid development of applications for Front Office users. This team is fully integrated within the wider development team to ensure that all developments are in line with the technology strategy in place for the wider platform.
The candidate will be a strong developer with a good understanding of tradeflow and a proven track record in delivering robust tools and applications to a demanding business.
The candidate will have a solid understanding of the product mechanics (booking flow, risk management, regulatory requirements, etc).
The candidate will also have a track record of delivering Front Office / Middle Office solution and will have application design skills (Service oriented architecture, GUI design, data structure)
This specific role will be to have full ownership of the RAD applications in APAC. This includes the prioritization and development of new applications, as well as the consolidation and improvement of the existing application inventory.
The role is based in Hong Kong but responsibilities will be both regional and global. Cross-regional partnership across technology and the business is vital.
Essential Skills
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar preferred
Strong Java / C# coding skills
Data engineering/ analysis skills
Excellent communication skills
Excel/VBA is a plus, not mandatory.Â
Development Lifecycle and Controls
Understanding of Equities/ Derivatives/ Fixed Income products and the trade lifecycle preferred
