BUSINESS SEGMENT AND ROLE OVERVIEW Equities and FICC: We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock, options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force, we maintain relationships with our clients, receiving orders and distributing investment research, trading ideas, market information and analysis.
The Securities Lending Desk is primarily responsible for negotiating and managing the facilitation of borrowing, lending and synthetic transactions between various market participants. The Desk trades a wide range of products including TRS, Futures and Dividend Futures and manages corporate action events / risk. Our clients include Institutional Lenders, Hedge Funds and Internal Firm Desks. The trading desk is looking to add an Associate, focusing on Developed Market Equities. Responsibilities:
Risk management of inventory positions, working closely with Supply/Demand teams, along with other firm desks
Optimisation of inventory through corporate actions and funding
Pricing and trading synthetic borrow via equity derivatives
Collaboration with Treasury/GLP to project desk funding requirements
Risk Manage the FX, Interest Rates, XCCY and Equity risk of the book
Basic Qualifications:
Strong analytic approach with high attention to detail
Ability to work closely with various groups, with strong communication skills
Quantitative background with basic understanding of equity derivatives (swaps/futures)
