The Bloomberg Data department is responsible for acquiring, interpreting and delivering data insights to our clients. The Data teams work collaboratively to collect, analyze, model and publish the data which is the backbone of our iconic Bloomberg Terminal - the data ultimately feeding and moving the financial markets.
Event Description: Bloomberg Academy (Data) in Hong Kong is an outstanding 4 day personal and professional development program for high potential STEM related degrees University students who will be graduating between October 2024 and September 2025 and who are particularly interested in a career in Bloomberg Data department. During the program, you'll also have a chance to meet and hear from our Data employees to learn about what we do here and how to apply for our graduate opportunities.
You will be exposed to a wide array of topics, people and activities. We will cover everything from Bloomberg Terminal functionality, enhance your programming and data analytics skills, and more! You will learn from some of the best in the industry and know how to apply this knowledge in a practical, fast-paced business environment.

You'll need to be:
Graduating between October 2024 and September 2025
Have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or other STEM related field
Experience using technical skills such as programming, data modeling and statistical methods to solve problem
Ability to prioritize and adapt to tasks accordingly
Collaboration skills to work across departments and with global teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
Right to work in Hong Kong for the duration of the Bloomberg Academy (Data) - Hong Kong
We'd love to see:
Previous work, internship and/or academic experience in data analysis, financial market research and/or information technology
A passion and curiosity about financial and economic data with the aspiration to work in the financial/fintech services industry
