Job Summary:
Seeking a Lead Network Infrastructure Administrator to ensure the security, performance, and availability of network systems. Responsibilities include collaboration with other infrastructure teams, disaster recovery operations, problem resolution, and proactive system monitoring. Requires 5+ years' experience, project management skills, and proficiency in networking trends and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the administration, setup, and maintenance of the security posture of the network infrastructure.
Collaborate closely with other infrastructure teams (e.g., Security, Server, Storage, Mainframe) to ensure seamless business application service availability.
Ensure network infrastructure compliance with security guidelines and lead testing, implementation, and installation of new infrastructure or application systems.
Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues and ensure optimal performance.
Oversee availability and optimal performance of network infrastructure to support business applications for both public and staff.
Maintain comprehensive system documentation and provide expert technical support to application teams.
Lead Disaster Recovery Operations and drive problem analysis and resolution implementation to meet system and application needs.
Manage problem cases with software vendors until satisfactory resolutions are achieved.
Implement regular maintenance and patching to address known or reported defects and security alerts.
Proactively monitor and maintain system availability and optimal performance in a 24x7 operating environment.
Experience and Skills:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network infrastructure administration or related roles.
Extensive experience leading project teams, delivering on key project milestones, and effectively communicating with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in conducting impact analysis, strategizing, planning, and executing upgrades to new versions.
Ability to provide effective leadership for 24x7 on-call support on a rotation basis, occasionally requiring work outside normal business hours for critical tasks.
In-depth understanding of the latest networking trends and patterns, including those in the Commercial Cloud.
Exceptional analytical skills with a proven ability to identify and address root causes of issues effectively.
