Business Function
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
As an Application Developer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing innovative solutions for complex projects that drive expansion into new business domains.
Responsibilities
Review activities from time to time and ensure project scheduled and cost is met
Lead Technology team on how to implement the business requirements.
Leading the Business Analysts and Developers to deliver business requirement.
Work with End Users within organization.
Understand the bank framework and ensure the delivery is follow the framework.
Responsible with the entire development process (technical analysis, design, development, testing and implementation).
Team effort coordination, dependencies management.
To evaluate the user requirement with BA and Development team and come out the schedule and feasibility.
Participate in requirements analysis, analyse the end to end journey of each digitalisation and be able to make risk assessments of larger system design and come up with alternative designs.
To have good understanding of the bank systems and where are the data located when needed
Manage the project with the approved cost and agree scheduled
Establish best practices for coding standards and code review process.
Requirements
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, backed by over 8 years of hands-on experience in Technology Consulting and Application Development, preferably in financial services industry.
Experience in Workflow and Java will be advantageous.
Experience in payments will be advantageous.
Java development experience, especially with integration and API's will be advantageous.
Experience with CI/CD tools will be advantageous.
Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Excellent interpersonal skills are required to work within the department, across the broader T&O department, with business partners and with vendors.
Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels, and both internally and externally. Concise and precise.
Self-disciplined and motivated - Ability to work independently without much supervision. A pro-active 'can-do' attitude and ability to prioritize and self manage time and tasks.
