Job Purpose Development and maintenance of the Bank's ICAAP processes inclusive of performing and incorporating capital related analytics and requirements into ICAAP reporting. Responsibilities also include managing, creating and documenting associated policies and procedures as well as contributing to the improvement of the Risk Governance and risk reporting to Senior Management and Board.
Job Accountabilities Business Specific Strategic â?¢ Support the AGM, Head of ERM in on the implementation of risk management strategy and measures, annual business plans, policies and procedures to support functional and organizational business strategy. â?¢ Develop/Formulate Bank wide policy on Capital Adequacy and related risk assessment as well as recommend bank wide risk appetite /buffers for all Capital related indicators. Operational ICAAP and Stress Testing â?¢ Monitor external and internal information that could potentially impact risk profile of the Bank and hence the ICAAP and stress testing results. â?¢ Compute results and undertake discussion with CFO and CRO in respect of ICAAP and stress testing. â?¢ Bi- annually prepare the ICAAP and ST reports for CBK in the CBK reporting format and make it ready for CBK submission. â?¢ Interact and Manage Auditor in the responsible areas â?¢ Responsible to conceptualize, obtain approvals for updation/ modification of the existing risk computation and stress testing methodology of Gulf Bank in line with the amendments/ updation proposed by CBK. â?¢ Also coordinate with IT to incorporate changes in the system. â?¢ Interpretation of CBK regulation and converting the same into working models to compute internal capital ratios which are viewed by regulator as well as by rating agencies. â?¢ Coordinate with various relevant stakeholders for collecting information for risk computation and check to ensure accuracy and reliability of data and information to finalize risk reporting packs. Risk Monitoring and Governance â?¢ Monitor Bankwide risk appetite and report to all stakeholder including risk committee (BRC& ERC)â?¢ Responsible to facilitate the Executive Risk Committee Meeting by performing its secretarial function effectively. â?¢ Prepare the required periodic risk management reports and presentations for submission to BRC, BOD, CBK and CMA. â?¢ Support CRO in providing necessary data for risk computation on ad-hoc and requirement basis. â?¢ Responsible for continuous improvement of risk reporting format and risk measurement models and templates to suite with regulatory and internal requirements. â?¢ Continuously update and monitor the risk MIS and reports, identify and highlight critical issues â?¢ Quarterly prepare Executive Risk Committee presentation pack and Board Risk Committee presentation pack. â?¢ Prepare risk presentations for rating agencies Generic Leadership & People Management: â?¢ Responsible for conceptualizing and developing resources as well as work plan for department with a 1-2 year outlook. â?¢ Exhibit strong leadership by managing performance, developing and motivating staff. â?¢ Allocate work to reportees, nominate for training as per Gulf Banks guidelines and manage leave and overtime to ensure efficiency â?¢ Maintain the culture of GB and promote a high performance work environment â?¢ Enhance talent retention through Implementation of key initiatives
Education & Qualification Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Bachelors Business Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business, Finance, Economics or comparable studies from a recognized university Knowledge â?¢ In-depth specialist knowledge of ICAAP, Stress testing frameworks, Pillar 2 risk and capital assessments methodology, Basel regulations and principles related to Capital. â?¢ Strong ability to conceptualize, develop and implement of risk management frameworks, including risk appetite, risk governance and risk policies and procedures â?¢ Thorough understanding of the regulations for commercial and retail banks â?¢ Excellent understanding of key products, services, system and operations in Bank, their associated risk and its mitigation Experience 10 years of relevant experience in banking industry with around 5 years in similar role/function
