Trade Operations Engineer (Night Shift) Needed in Chicago

Introduction:
Our client, a renowned financial firm based in the bustling city of Chicago is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable trade operations engineer to join their dynamic technology team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting trading environments including PMs and traders, as well as proficiency with Unix/Linux and Python.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience working within a similar role
- Experience providing desktop support for trading systems

Skills:

Unix/Linux - As our new hire you must be proficient at navigating through these operating systems. You should possess extensive knowledge about various commands used on both platforms.
Python - We are looking for someone who has hands-on expertise using this programming language. It would also be helpful if you can demonstrate how your skills were applied practically.

Responsibilities:

As part of your responsibilities, we expect that you'll use all available resources to ensure seamless performance across multiple departments every night shift cycle;

Primary Responsibilities:
* Oversee resolution efforts concerning system issues affecting production applications
* Collaborate closely with different teams such as software development managers ensuring up-to-date changes made during releases don't negatively impact other services running simultaneously
* Provide technical assistance where required when liaising between developers/users/system administrators regarding operational concerns/issues raised by end-users via email/phone calls etc.
