About our client
Our client-a leading energy and infrastructure fund-is expanding its operations and seeks an Associate to join its legal team in Mexico City. You will have the chance to work alongside senior management on multiple transactions ensuring the fund's investments comply with all legal aspects, as well as the entire structure of the fund and its investment vehicles. The position is based in Mexico City. What the job involves
Assist in preparing and structuring transactions, as well as performing legal due diligence
Prepare and review contracts, agreements, and other investment documents
Monitor compliance with corporate governance of the fund and its investment vehicles
Preparation of day-to-day legal documents such as assembly minutes, entries in books, titles, others
Provide strategic advice to investment and risk identification teams
Monitor the activities of the audit committee
Development of internal policies and procedures
Handle the hiring process of external lawyers and consultants
Who we are looking for
Solid experience in corporate law, M&A and structuring transactions and commercial contracts
Knowledge of the energy and infrastructure sectors (power generation, oil & gas, transportation, water, etc)
Proactive, organized, and detail oriented
Superior negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills
