Team//Role Overview The European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) Regulatory Reporting Team provide oversight and controls for EMIR Reporting. The roles involve reviewing the trade submissions to the Trade Repository and ensuring completeness and accuracy of the reports. The role involves identifying issues, and working with Legal, Compliance, Technology, Middle Office and Front Office in order to remediate and solution for any breaks identified. The role is suitable for a candidate who enjoys problem solving, working to deadlines and has strong communication skills.
The Operational Risk Intermediate Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.
What you'll do
Participates in the application of operational risk policies, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.
Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
Provides governance and oversight may include (not limited to) technology operational risk, risk for example.
Executes the Managers Control Assessment (MCA) program in a timely manner.
Plans, tests and reports on Operational Risk findings
Tests and monitors key controls which have been identified for each product line and document results.
Liases with business and line control officers on any deficiencies or control gaps.
Ensures appropriate remedial actions are in place where deficiencies are identified.
Documents, implements and executes Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for management of control issues.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we'll need from you
Knowledge of EMIR regulatory reporting preferred.
Intermediate Level of Excel required.
Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of projects, operational process change and improvement, preferably within capital markets operations.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and adapt to change.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to both work collaboratively and independently; ability to navigate a complex organization.
Project management skills, MCA knowledge.
