About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 11 About the Role: The CCUS Product Owner is responsible for leading an industry discipline with the skills necessary to come up with effective solutions that are valuable (our customers choose to buy or use), viable (the solution works within the many constraints of the business), usable (the user can figure out how to use), and feasible (our developers have the skills and technology to implement). The CCUS Product Owner will continue building our CCUS workstream, championing with users, and discovering new content and workflows.
The Team: We empower our product teams to solve hard problems - customer problems and business problems - in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. This role will be part of our Upstream North America Content product team and report to the US Product Management Director.
Responsibilities and Impact: Main responsibility is creating the plan that will execute against the project vision and roadmap. They understand the customer needs, define requirements, and guide work to the project scrum teams. They prioritize work, schedule it for the release, validate customer response, and provide fast feedback to our customers.
This means that the product manager must contribute to their product team a solid knowledge of the various constraints of the business - constraints from data operations, marketing, sales, technology, finance, legal, and privacy are typical examples. The product manager must also contribute to the product team a deep knowledge of our users and customers, and the data about how our customers engage with our products. Finally, the product manager is expected to track industry trends and the competitive landscape as they pertain to their product.
While each member of the product team may be accountable for a specific risk, we look for product managers to understand that consistent innovation is the result of each member of the product team contributing their passion and their ideas. The product owner must collaborate closely with their product team to discover effective solutions, and then work together to deliver those solutions to market.
S&P Agile Product Management Expectations: â?¢ Interface with clients and/or receive direct client feedback to understand user problems and obtain feedback on existing products. Based on these details, develop roadmaps, business cases/plans and socialize these with stakeholders and management. This includes internal or external clients. â?¢ Facilitate a meeting with a clear agenda for all scrum teams working on their projects at least once a sprint. â?¢ Ensure their projects in Serena conform to the SPGCI guidelines. â?¢ Deliver user stories that meet the needs of the project and the DOR before Sprint 0 of a release cycle. â?¢ Teams, stakeholders, and their functional owner clearly understand their project based on the information they input into Serena. â?¢ Answer teams' UAT/QA questions effectively so teams can execute on and complete stories in a timely manner. â?¢ Enter weekly team project updates in Serena by end of day on Mondays that conform to health reporting requirements. â?¢ Provide coaching to the agile teams in the program in terms of product/project domain, roadmaps/release. â?¢ Provide mentoring and guidance to team members. â?¢ Ensure owners and their team members work at capacity to ensure deadlines are meet. â?¢ Ensuring the customer is clearly represented in User Stories â?¢ Attend their team's Sprint Reviews as needed. â?¢ Resource their projects â?¢ Supporting the Agile Teams in delivering value â?¢ Managing and Prioritizing the Agile Teams backlog â?¢ Lead Product Development Lifecycle activities by working with PM, Heads of Engineering, Dev Managers, and other team members/stakeholders, as needed. â?¢ Continually work on process improvement â?¢ Provide project progress reports to executive management ensuring the customer is clearly represented.
CCUS Specific Expectations: â?¢ Getting and applying feedback from CCUS internal and external users to our roadmap and vision â?¢ Connecting with the CO2 injection users to discover solutions to their underserved needs â?¢ Contributing to the North America CCUS Vision and Roadmap
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,300 to $143,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years working in energy industry technology-powered products as either a product owner, product designer, engineer, geologist, geophysicist, data analyst, data scientist, or user researcher.
CCUS domain expertise
Demonstrated ability to figure out solutions to hard problems with many constraints, using sound judgement to assess risks, and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
Proven ability to engage with developers, data scientists, designers, commercial, legal, subject matter experts, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery.
Demonstrated ability to learn multiple functional areas of business - development, design, data science, finance, sales, or marketing.
