About our client
Our client, a leading asset manager with a focus on Private Credit, is looking to add a generalist corporate paralegal to the London team. The firm boast an enviable track record and substantial portfolio of assets globally, supported by a dedicated team of over 150 professionals.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, as part of a small but efficient legal team. Reporting to the Head Counsel, the position offers excellent legal and commercial exposure, collaborating with the deal teams, managing legal documentation, providing regulatory guidance, overseeing administrative projects, and liaising with external partners. What the job involves
Supporting the production, negotiation and execution of documentation based on precedent forms (e.g. support letters, NDAs, powers of attorney)
Undertaking legal work to deliver identified business objectives including intra-group legal arrangements and special legal projects
Communicating legal issues to internal stakeholders and providing legal advice and guidance with frequent and transparent communication
General corporate and commercial legal exposure including drafting, review and negotiation of contracts and terms of engagement
Liaising with external legal providers and other service providers including fund administrators, custodians, contract counterparties
Assisting with signings and undertaking post-completion tasks
Who we are looking for
A law degree or equivalent, LPC or BVC certification, and previous paralegal experience in either private practice or in-house asset management environments
Prior experience in fund or transactional legal work is desirable
A strong communicator, with a problem-solving attitude and a desire to learn and progress professionally
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive can-do approach to tasks are essential
