Description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated intern to join our team as a Data Validation Intern. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and consistency between on-premises and cloud-hosted applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analysis, validation techniques, and software integration processes.
Principal Accountabilities
Perform data validation tasks to ensure consistency between on-premises and cloud-hosted applications.
Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various databases.
Utilize Python scripts to automate data validation processes and streamline workflows.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions.
Create and maintain documentation related to data validation procedures and findings.
Assist in troubleshooting data integration issues and implementing corrective actions.
Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests as needed.
Skills/Software Requirements
Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, IT, Finance, Economics, or related field.
Understanding of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
Experience in Python for data analysis and automation tasks.
Familiarity with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, IT, Finance, Economics, or related field.

Hybrid Schedule - able to come into the CME Group Chicago office
Able to work 40 hours per week
