The Investing with Impact team within the Global Investment Office, is responsible for developing and delivering holistic wealth solutions for our individual and institutional clients that seek to align their portfolios with their values. These solutions include a comprehensive set of investment strategies, portfolio solutions, impact reporting, manager selection tools and thought leadership across multiple sustainability themes. Further, we provide high quality and timely training and education for Financial Advisors and clients, including a formal Advisor designation as well as an annual calendar of regular events, publications, and periodic thematic reports.
Job Summary The Investing with Impact Associate will primarily be responsible for strategic project management and supporting the adoption of Investing with Impact products, solutions and tools across segments to drive growth. Further, the Impact Associate will support the creation and maintenance of thought leadership and materials for individual and institutional investor audiences including drafting publications, written reports, conference calls and meetings. We are looking for an exceptionally talented individual with a clear passion for using capital markets to scale solutions to global and domestic economic, environmental and social challenges. This individual is motivated, confident and collaborative. This is a fast-paced team that collaborates regularly with our Wealth Management colleagues and the Firm to deliver on multiple work streams at any given time. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable working proactively on a small team and navigating a global financial services firm. Attributes of a successful applicant include: strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis, exceptional business writing and organizational skills. The Impact Associate will be responsible for the following: � Support the team in helping Financial Advisors and Institutional Consultants respond to their clients' Investing with Impact needs by providing content and recommendations across the full range of tools, resources and products. � Help Financial Advisors and Institutional Consultants with Morgan Stanley Impact Quotient® (our proprietary portfolio-level impact analytics tool), including training and other field engagement efforts, and maintenance of relevant collateral to foster and enable Morgan Stanley IQ® utilization. � Assist on delivering and executing events for Financial Advisors and clients. � Support the creation and maintenance of key Investing with Impact collateral - this includes thought leadership, publications, internal and client presentations, and marketing collateral. � Research and write thematic content in areas such as Climate, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Faith-based investing for internal and external audiences. � Maintain field engagement trackers to measure success of planned activities. � Project manage publication process for the Investing with Impact team. � Engage with key partners including Global Sustainability Office, Technology, Marketing, and Legal, Risk and Compliance.
Requirements â?¢ 3-5 years of work experience: finance or consulting â?¢ Bachelor's degree; Master's degree, MBA or CFA strongly preferred, focus on sustainability a plus â?¢ Strong and efficient research capabilities including conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis â?¢ Excellent project management skills â?¢ Strong PC skills, especially PowerPoint and Excel â?¢ Detail-orientation with excellent business writing, communication and presentation skills â?¢ Ability to operate collaboratively in a team culture â?¢ Persistence, tenacity and drive for results â?¢ Experience with asset allocation, investment manager selection and portfolio risk management a plus â?¢ Familiarity with Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) data and impact reporting frameworks a plus â?¢ Experience with financial market data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Morningstar, Factset), portfolio optimizers (e.g. Barra) and statistical software packages a plus â?¢ Series 7 and 63 strongly preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $60,000 - $110,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
