We are seeking a Director to join our Internal Audit Regulatory Relations team. The successful candidate will be a member of the Audit department and will help ensure that regulatory requirements are being met in accordance with set standards.
In the Audit division, we provide senior management an objective and independent assessment of the Firm's internal control environment for risk management and governance. This is a Director-level position within Internal Operations and Quality Control, which is responsible for efficient and effective functioning of the department, supporting the ultimate delivery of high-quality assurance services.

What you'll do in the role:
Primary Responsibilities â?¢ Manage US IAD Regulatory Requests from intake through submission. This involves participation in regulatory exams, completing quarterly material submissions, attending quarterly regulatory meetings, and addressing ad hoc regulatory requests from both Prudential and non-Prudential US Regulators. â?¢ Review and challenge proposed submission material to ensure consistent messaging. â?¢ Manage and lead regulatory meetings and track follow-up items. â?¢ Manage reporting and evaluate potential process automation and efficiency opportunities. â?¢ Coordinate with various teams across the department, including audit teams, Stakeholder Reporting, Data Analytics, IAD Operations as well as Firmwide functions, including Regulatory Relations and Business Unit Risk Managers.
What you'll bring to the role:
Skills Required â?¢ At least six years of audit, financial or regulatory experience within the financial services industry. â?¢ Previous audit experience with a complex or medium size bank or broker dealer â?¢ Proficient understanding of the internal audit process, including risk assessments, planning, reporting, continuous monitoring, closure verification. â?¢ Ability to multitask across various projects while meeting deadline â?¢ Strong verbal and written communication skills for discussions with senior audit and business management, and regulators. â?¢ A B.S. degree in business in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. [note: an M.B.A. or equivalent postgraduate degree is highly encouraged.]
Skills Desired â?¢ CPA, CIA or other related licensing a plus.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
