Role Overview
This Account Analyst position will be a part of PIMCO's Singapore-based South Asia Client Management team covering institutions and wholesale distributors, with the primary focus to service clients, as well as to support business development, investment support and marketing initiatives. The client profiles include sovereign wealth funds, central banks, government and quasi-governments, pensions, insurance, corporates, endowments, and financial institutions (including offshore distribution initiatives).
This position reports to the Account Manager (Senior Vice President) of the South Asia Client Management team and will be based in Singapore.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
This position requires an analytical, detail-oriented professional who can:
Provide high quality client coverage as a support to the Account Management team.
Accurately and efficiently respond to client queries on portfolio performance, product marketing materials, DDQs (due diligence questionnaires), and other ad-hoc queries.
Provide current insights regarding the firm and product specific investment philosophy, process, strategy, performance and other relevant information directly or indirectly to clients, prospective clients and consultants.
Accurately and efficiently prepare client reports spanning performance, trading activity, portfolio valuation and risk metrics, analyzing portfolio data including qualitative and quantitative performance attribution.
Support new client onboarding, portfolio transitions, responding to RFPs, guidelines/compliance and operations related issues by working closely with internal groups such as fund administration, business development support, operations, transition and compliance teams.
Provide support for identifying new business development opportunities, driving marketing/sales campaigns, and preparing for finals presentations.
Support the planning and execution of marketing events and roadshows.
Requirements

Robust knowledge of macroeconomics, fixed income and derivative instruments would be preferred.

Education
Must possess at least an Undergraduate Degree in Finance/Business, Economics, or a related field.
Demonstrate an interest in progressing toward a CFA and/or CAIA.
Experience
0-2 years of relevant financial industry experience.
University internships in a financial, client-oriented role will be considered in lieu of employment experience.
Ideal candidates are familiar with fixed income markets and macroeconomics, currency, and derivative instruments.
Technical skills
Effectively utilize tools such as Excel spreadsheets, macros, and query tools (VBA knowledge an advantage)
Knowledge of Bloomberg is a plus.
