Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Markets Accelerator III for its New York, NY location.
Duties: Utilize skills and knowledge across markets, technology, and quant as part of independent Markets Accelerator groups in order to drive profitability and innovative solutions through targeted and highly focused deliverables. Build high performing, distributed, scalable, enterprise-grade applications and analytical tools. Provide expertise in software development life cycle and engineering excellence standards including design, coding, testing, and production support. Deliver well designed, stable, reusable, and efficient codes and frameworks and continuously develop and improve them by investigating malfunctions and exploring alternative approaches and technologies. Design and develop a recommendation engine using machine learning methods and algorithms to provide a daily digest of agency bonds to be utilized by Sales, Traders, and Citi clients. Analyze computation needs to plan and design analytical tools using techniques such as data modeling, information engineering and structured analysis. Responsible for working on business-critical problems across different businesses on the trading floor. Work collaboratively to create and implement innovative solutions by leveraging technology and analytics. Remote work may be permitted with a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policy.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Two (2) years of experience must include: Applying programming concepts including object-oriented programming, multi-threaded and multi-process programming in tool/application design and implementation; Incorporating programs into high-scale production environments of large enterprises; Extracting data sources internally and externally and applying data analytics using Python or Java and advanced SQL programming to create reports, analysis, or applications; Development of a user interface that serves as the visage for advanced analytical and financial applications to enhance data-driven decision-making processes; and Designing complex scripts to query financial data within databases of financial systems and applications using SQL and Oracle. 40 hrs./wk.
