Description The Information Governance (IG) team is currently seeking a year-round intern, part-time throughout the school year and full-time during breaks. This candidate will assist the IG team members with day-to-day activities and on special projects. The IG team is responsible for records management, privacy, confidentiality, e-discovery, incident response, and risk management. This role will contribute to internal projects and enhancements related to current processes.
Principal Accountabilities:
Assist with data collection and analysis, documentation, and ad-hoc projects related to Information Governance topics.
Assist with updating policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
Support the team with analyzing regulatory requirements for privacy, incident response and retention obligations across global jurisdictions.
Support the Information Governance team by learning and completing operational processes.
Assist the team with data analysis and updating data processing and record inventories.
Complete quality assurance activities related to Information Governance business processes.
Assist and support Information Governance team members with special projects.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office product suites.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to organize and structure data.
Ability to perform research and compile findings.
Ability to understand and absorb business & risk concepts quickly.
Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the organization.
Preferred Skills:
Passion for learning new skills, technologies, and passionate about conveying knowledge.
Strong communication skills including the ability to tailor messages to the appropriate audience.
Education:
Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Other Requirements:
Local to Chicago.
Hybrid Schedule - able to come into the CME Group Chicago office.
