About the role
We are looking for a Project Manager to assist in managing, scoping, scheduling, and executing critical work within our dynamic investment team. The Project Manager will work with the Business (Program) Manager to ensure effective project planning, risk and issue mitigation, and seamless communications over the life of the assigned projects. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of individual projects by coordinating timing and resources within the broader program guidelines. They will report progress updates including milestone achievements and unexpected setbacks to the Business Manager who oversees the entirety of the work accomplished on the Investment Strategy team. This person has a tactical role focusing on execution and managing the functional elements of projects such as meeting deadlines, delegating tasks, and completing deliverables. This person will be the go-to resource for anything project-related.
The mission of the Project Manager is to facilitate projects across a growing 70+ person, multi-function investment team. Projects include client support including complex analysis and related external meetings, thought leadership and marketing work, and investment product development and oversight. This role is highly cross-functional and will require a strategic thinker comfortable with ensuring cross-departmental alignment, building tools, processes, and capacity to aid in achieving the department's goals. This individual is driven by delivering on time and under budget", and knows how to use technology, processes, and people to create the optimal environment and execute successfully.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive effective teamwork, prioritization, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities while maintaining strong business relationships.
- Lead the effective and efficient delivery of large complex cross-functional projects and manage implementation activities for concurrent workstreams.
- Ability to support multiple projects concurrently, react quickly to new information, and ensure projects remain updated and relevant to achieve the desired outcome.
- Ability to create and communicate project metrics, schedule, and status to the entire department, and cross-departments.
- Anticipate bottlenecks, identify risk, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical information, compose clear and concise written communication, and create appropriate business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure consistency with and application of department standards, processes, and controls across projects.
- Power user of the team's technology stack who partners with our Platform Solutions team on suggested enhancements to workflows.
- Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards to help plan, manage, and complete work in a timely manner, as well as deliver business intelligence.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of Project Management experience required, with proven ability to manage multiple related and concurrent workstreams with high attention to detail
- Must have a background and strong understanding of the systems development life cycle and expertise in each phase of program/project cycle: plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, and implement
- Excellent organizational, listening, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, ability to multitask and handle interruptions
- Must take initiative, have a passion for driving efficiencies, and have a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability as a liaison between technical teams and business visionaries - not a go-between but rather a facilitator and someone who can capture the vision from both points of view into a cohesive implementation plan
- Resourceful, with a can-do attitude toward projects and willingness to apply creative problem-solving
- Prior experience using workflow management technology, preferably Workfront; and demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and use new technology
- PMP or Project Management certification is a plus.
- Financial Services background is a plus.

Salary range for the position: $70,000 - 150,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
