The Portfolio Solutions Group (PSG) specializes in designing and managing custom multi-asset, multi-manager solutions in broadly diversified to focused portfolios on behalf of leading endowments, sovereign wealth funds, pensions, and family offices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist the Head of Research with conducting investment research related to major asset classes and investment themes. - Assist senior team members with ad-hoc investment analysis. - Help build out models to support the research process. - Maintain and update analytical tools and research chart-packs - Help develop compelling presentation materials to explain the team's investment strategy views and latest ideas. - Assist the Portfolio Specialist team with client enquiries and the compiling of marketing materials. - Highly proficient Excel and data downloading skills - Highly proficient Powerpoint, slide and chart creation - 2-5 years experience in financial markets/economics so this person can have intuition and understanding of the subject matter. Fixed income, equities, currencies, e.g. - Ability to learn and work with software analytic packages (Macrobond, e.g.) - Essential that this candidate can work independently

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75.000 and $120.000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
