As a Channels Digital Risk & Control Manager you will report to the Channels Governance and Controls lead, and be the key business partner for the Digital business within WPB Channels to understand, assess and help manage risks they face as they embed new technology, expand digital services and adopt new ways of working across their business.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Designing and implementing operational controls for digital products and services.
Designing end to end digital risk management processes.
Providing advice and guidance on the maintenance of an effective internal control environment and ensuring key risks are appropriately addressed at the right stage of implementation.
Facilitate and represent as Secretariat for Digital Risk Forum, to oversee Digital Risk and Control Landscape, including oversight over material issues for escalation.
Transform the digital risk and control maturity curve through insights into emerging risk, building automated monitoring programme, and provisioning real time insights of the control environment.
Perform incident analysis, root cause issue identification and deep dive controls reviews as required across the WPB digital and broader Channels business.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Problem solving and strong analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work in teams.
Comfort in challenging existing process/advice/policy that is outdated - an interest in making the bank operate more efficiently.
Understanding of digital banking and customer-facing technology, preferably gained through experience in Consulting, Fintechs and digital risk roles.
Experience in conducting control reviews and implementing recommendations or monitoring the performance of key controls and reacting accordingly.
Strong modelling skills and willingness to learn.
An understanding of the key risk areas, risk taxonomy and controls library relevant to banking services, particularly for non-financial risk.
Familiarity with agile delivery principles would be beneficial, or experience working with change and transformation programmes.
Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
