Position Overview:

The firm is seeking a talented Equity Analyst. The Equity Analyst will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth research and analysis on various equity investments across different sectors and regions. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for strong detail, strong analytic skills and a passion for financial markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on individual companies, industries, and market trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.
• Develop detailed financial models and forecasts to assess the intrinsic value of potential investments.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing equity holding, providing recommendations for portfolio adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers and the other team members to generate investment ideas and contribute to the overall investment process.
• Stay informed about macroeconomic developments, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events that may impact equity markets.
• Prepare written reports and presentations summarise research findings, investment theses, and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts to gather insight to validate investment hypotheses.
• Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in equity research and portfolio management, continuously enhancing expertise and contributing to the firm's though leadership efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field
• Minimum 2 years experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a related field within the financial services industry.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytic skills, with proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
• Elevated level of attention to detail and accuracy, with a demonstrated ability to synthesise large volumes of data into actionable insights.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
