Citibank, N.A. seeks a Regulatory Risk Group Manager for its New York, New York location.
Duties: Conduct internal and external research on bank management of climate-related financial risk to drive the development and maintenance of Citi's Climate Risk Management Framework. Work with cross-functional teams to drive the integration of climate risk considerations into internal risk policy documents, to ensure policy documents address climate risk impacts, as applicable. Engage with relevant stakeholders within risk category and enterprise program teams to develop and integrate climate risk management processes into existing core governance processes, including board and executive management committee reporting and enterprise programs processes such as the new activity approval process. Contribute to and produce deliverables for climate risk special projects; synthesize climate risk related concepts and distill into thematic analysis, talking points, and benchmarking documents for presentation to senior audiences and external stakeholders. Remain informed of evolving global climate risk-related disclosure standards and contribute to Citi's external disclosures on climate risk management practices, to support the firm's strategic direction and adoption of industry standards on climate-risk reporting and disclosures. Remain informed of developments in the regulatory space, and analyze global, regional and business level applications. Translate into implications for climate risk governance. Manage analytical reviews to identify gaps in implementation of draft regulatory principles on the management of climate-related financial risk and gaps in internal policy coverage of climate risk considerations Partner across the firm to identify and support the buildout of climate risk specific processes and monitoring routines for risk category management frameworks with a focus on reputation, strategic and compliance risks. Support the implementation of a cohesive control framework and issue management process for the second line of defense climate risk management team including, reporting and analysis to support the maintenance of a robust control environment. Contribute to regulatory, portfolio and audit reviews; execute key analyses in support of climate risk-related regulatory requirements. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, International Economics, Risk Management, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Credit & Portfolio Analyst, Strategy Lead Analyst or related position involving conducting risk analysis within the financial services industry. 3 years of experience must include: Integrating strategy driven requirements into existing risk management processes and governance; and Senior management reporting. 2 years of experience must include: Reviewing and translating regulatory expectations; and Analyzing global portfolios and designing commensurate risk management processes and practices.
