About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 About the Role: The role involves a range of activities, including providing: Compliance advisory services, education & training, reporting to compliance management on compliance developments, and participating in reviews, investigations and other compliance monitoring / ad hoc activities.
The Team: The Compliance Policy Officer will join the Corporate Risk and Compliance department with accountability for developing, implementing, and maintaining an annual S&P Global Code of Business Ethics program. The Code of Business Ethics program will provide an understanding of underlying company policies, standards and procedures and promote compliance with certain applicable laws, rules, and regulations across all of S&P Global.
Responsibilities and Impact: You will support the operation of the Compliance Program in the Division and in particular:
Developing, implementing, and updating annually, the S&P Global Code of Business Ethics program and underlying corporate policies. This position is additionally responsible for developing, creating, and implementing related training programs.
Identify and coordinate with a learning solution and internal stakeholders on all aspects of the project plan for the Code of Business Ethics including the policy and training course.
Gather and provide data to drive completion of the Code of Business Ethics training (COBE) during the campaign and throughout the year.
Define policy goals and objectives in specific and measurable terms.
Develop and implement policy strategies related to business priorities and will build support for such strategies with other divisional teams, cross functional stakeholders.
Identify and engaging stakeholders for the development of specific policy implementation plans as well as associated training opportunities.
Identifying the need to develop new policies or amend existing policies in response to legal, regulatory, or business developments, including consideration and evaluation of recommendations from S&P Global Divisions, Senior Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, People, Technology and others as appropriate.
Dissemination and communication of policies and procedures to employees and for the ongoing review and evaluation of these policies and related procedures.
Responsible for the policy governance lifecycle, which includes policy development, policy implementation, policy maintenance and policy related training for all the underlying policies of the COBE.
Lead the policy approval process and governance of S&P Global policies.
Gather and provide data to identify the need to develop new policies or amend existing policies or policy related trainings.
Create and maintain policy related trainings and coordinate with other training programs across the enterprise.
Oversee and manage the policy change process from beginning to end, including assessing and drafting proposed changes, determining, and confirming appropriate approval levels, coordinating, and gathering input from Senior Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, People, Technology, and others as appropriate.
Identify and maintain a centralized policy site, ensuring accessibility for all related employees.
Ensure that policy changes and related policy documents are tracked, maintained and available as required for Senior Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and others as appropriate.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $118,094 to $200,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree; legal qualifications preferred.
8+ years of relevant industry experience
Securities law background helpful; able to stay abreast of rapidly changing regulations, rules, and procedures in a developing industry.
Experience in writing policies, procedures, and in effective policy implementation.
Experience in the development and creation of related policy trainings.
The ability to work with sensitivity and awareness across the Risk and Compliance department and within the organization.
Strong leadership ability, including the ability to communicate effectively with others in a confident, professional manner and to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
