Our professionals measure the profitability of, and risks associated with, every aspect of the firm's business. Controllers also ensure that the firm's activities are conducted in compliance with the regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.
We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm's liquidity, capital, and risk, and providing the overall financial control and reporting functions. Whether assessing the creditworthiness of the firm's counterparties, monitoring market risks associated with trading activities, or offering analytical and regulatory compliance support, our work contributes directly to the firm's success. The business is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail. The RRP core team is a small centralized team that is responsible for setting the strategy for, planning, and coordinating the firm's global and local RRP deliverables. The team also has responsibility for running the assurance framework across our RRP capabilities, and is the first point of call for regulatory enquiries relating to RRP globally.
YOUR IMPACT As well as being involved in the firm's European RRP deliverables, the role holder will be a full member of the RRP core team and will have the opportunity to participate in the firm's broader recovery and resolution planning efforts. This role provides an exciting opportunity to participate in an important area of regulatory focus and be involved in developing the firm's thinking and approach to recovery planning and resolvability as its business model continues to evolve. Responsibilities include:
Ensuring that the firm RRP deliverables comply with all European requirements and are consistent with the firm's global plans
Acting as a key contact for the firm's European RRP deliverables
Authoring sections of the firm's recovery and resolution plans and other regulatory deliverables
Conducting assurance work such as capability testing and simulation exercises
Acting as credible contact for the European Regulators and the firm's Senior Management with respect to RRP matters
Participating in industry forums

REQUIREMENTS We are seeking an associate to own and manage the firm's European RRP deliverables. The role, which will be based in the firm's Frankfurt office, will also be involved in the firm's global RRP and requires the following attributes:
Strong project management skills: ability to work with a federated team of subject matter experts across multiple divisions within the firm to plan and execute on the firm's RRP deliverables
Credibility with the Regulators and Senior Management: theholder of the role will beinvolved in regular interactions with the SRB and ECB and the firm's Senior Management with respect to RRP matters
Control mindset: the ability to maintain anddevelop a robust control, governance and assurance framework around the firm'sEuropean RRP deliverables
Technical competence: understandingand experienceofthe European RRP regimes. Experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial: Capital, Liquidity, Financial/ Regulatory Reporting, Operations, Risk Management
Analytical skills: an eye for detail and the ability to prepare, reviewand challengefinancial projections as well as other core sections of the recovery and resolution plans
Writing skills: the ability to produce documentation to meet regulatory submission standards, and to critically review/ challenge materials prepared by other areas
