About our client
We are working with a premier service provider of an exclusive fund management company focused on energy infrastructure assets throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Our client is looking for a Renewable Energy Development Associate who can work directly with senior management in the development of a solar and energy project in Mexico. You will have the opportunity to participate throughout the whole project, starting with project origination, land acquisition, to interconnection processes, and general project permitting. This position is based in Mexico City. What the job involves
Manage complex renewable energy projects across multiple locations in Mexico
Establish and manage development budgets and financial models for each project and portfolio of projects
Create and present management level presentations
Play an active role in portfolio development management, monitoring financial and commercial factors
Manage internal and external documentation requirements related to the projects (including government agencies)
Perform analysis for business development focused on the electricity market and renewables
Attend internal and external meetings with associations, government, landowners, land agents and others
Participate in energy and infrastructure conferences and other marketing initiatives
Communicate with vendors and internal support teams for project implementation and other technical support
Participate in the due diligence process for renewable energy projects
Who we are looking for
Experience in development of energy and infrastructure projects in Mexico (solar and wind) is a must
Knowledge on permitting, licensing, land procurement, and technical aspects for energy and infrastructure projects
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, economics or related field
Proactive leader, with strong financial and modelling skills
Superior analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
