Our Impact
The IRP Sales Strats team works closely with the sales and trading teams to create solutions for clients looking to hedge interest rate exposure or to express views on interest rates. The team is involved in both flow and strategic transactions.
The team is an integral part of the transaction process and is involved from initial identification of opportunities through to final execution. The team may be involved in all aspects of a transaction, from quantitative analysis, pricing, and risk management through to legal, capital and accounting considerations.
The team covers the entire range of interest rate products (government bonds, futures, swaps, vanilla options, exotics) as well as inflation, cross-currency, and repo. The team primarily covers institutional accounts (banks, pensions funds, insurance companies, asset managers and hedge funds) but may also engage with corporate and PWM clients.
Your Impact
The position requires in-depth knowledge of interest rate products, of the sources of interest rate exposure of our clients and of the various non-economic constraints that impact decision-making (regulatory, capital, accounting...).
The new team member will use this knowledge to develop solutions to problems facing our clients and will interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure a successful outcome. Frequent direct interaction with clients will allow you to provide world class service.
Responsibilities
Work closely with sales and traders to understand problems faced by clients and provide ideas and solutions.
Perform quantitative and financial analysis related to these solutions.
Produce content that can be thematic or transaction-based.
Work alongside sales to enhance client relationships with the firm.
Build and develop new platforms and solutions for GS to broaden our product offering and risk management capabilities.

BS/MS in a quantitative field - Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science
Some coursework in Economics and/or Finance
Basic programming experience

Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
