The M arket Surveillance Registrar Analysts are deeply engaged with the markets each day. They are responsible for monitoring and reviewing activity in CME Group markets related physically delivered markets. They are tasked with ensuring the integrity of our CME approved facilities and appropriateness of CME delivery functions. They have the ability to perform the task required of an Analyst, as well as being able to work independently and interact more proactively with other Market Regulation staff regarding market events.

Review applications of firms applying to be part of the CME delivery process.
Analyze if they comply with rules and making a recommendation to management for approval/denial.
Perform physical inspections of approved and new facilities. This includes high level interaction with facilities, knowledge of delivery process and ability to detect potential issues.
Evaluate inventory reports and understanding the impact and affects the supply will have on the corresponding derivatives market. Provide those findings to areas of Market Reg.
Conduct investigations into breaches of delivery or facility rules with minimal supervision.
Responding to customer inquiries regarding deliveries with minimal supervision.
What you'll need:
1 - 3 years related work experience
Background with regards to specific physical markets is required (Metals and Grain a plus).
Ability to travel; about 15% travel required to set up inspections and to onboard new facilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an analytical field.
