The objective of this role is to drive the execution of regulatory engagements across Independent Risk Management, to ensure the organization is responsive, agile and well-prepared for unique and demanding regulatory requests. The position will require significant project management and stakeholder engagement to ensure that regulatory engagements are thoughtful, comprehensive and culminate in consistent messaging. In addition, there is opportunity to provide senior management with emerging regulatory themes and provide proactive support for upcoming interactions. This role support regulatory engagements for the Finance CRO, the USPB CRO and Wealth CRO covering risk topics including Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk, Retail Credit Risk, and Commercial Credit Risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage complex regulatory exams that require significant program management across risk teams, with a focus on ensuring regulatory expectations are addressed on a holistic and consistent basis.
Establish effective working relationships and partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across relevant risk segments to ensure a more integrated approach to regulatory relations.
Support proactive communication strategies with regulators and provide advice to senior management on the best approach to regulatory interactions with guidance on best in class presentations, materials and other submissions provided to regulators.
Synthesize regulatory feedback and key thematic findings to senior management, the CRO and key stakeholders to drive awareness of and help anticipate regulatory concerns.
Review and provide quality assurance of risk management deliverables submitted to regulators.
Support and advise more junior Regulatory Coordinators in the execution of administrative requirements for regulatory exams and interactions.
Assist in high priority regulatory ad hoc projects across their lifecycle by identifying and structuring problems, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and obtaining buy-in for change
Team Overview:
The Risk Regulatory Engagement team ensures the Independent Risk organization maintains a strong and productive engagement model with critical regulators, including the Federal Reserve, OCC and FDIC. The team proactively manages the execution of regulatory engagements on behalf of the Independent Risk organization, which includes exams, ongoing supervisory meetings and requests as well as responses to supervisory letters. The team partners closely with subject matter experts within the Risk Stripes to:
Oversee and coordinate regulatory examinations to ensure the Independent Risk teams are organized and proactively addressing regulatory requests and concerns;
Manage ongoing supervisory regulatory interactions, including meetings and information requests, to strengthen regulatory relations;
Produce thematic summaries to Senior Management on regulatory interactions and developments to provide insight and advice;
Conduct exam readiness assessments to ensure the organization proactively self-identifies issues and documentation is ready for submission;
Support the development of appropriate and comprehensive responses and remediation plans when regulatory issues and concerns are identified; and
Work closely with partners in other Businesses and Functions, to ensure consistent and clear communications to regulators.

Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in a regulatory-facing role that requires superior problem solving and excellent oral/written communication skills
In-depth understanding of risk management disciplines with experience in Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk and Retail Credit
Solid understanding of Regulatory Interactions with a background in exam management/coordination, management of regulatory meetings and information requests, in addition to experience with preparation of formal written responses
Experience working at a banking regulatory agency, such as the Federal Reserve, OCC, and FDIC, and working knowledge / familiarity with these regulators a plus
Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills. Ability to build strong internal and external networks
Exceptional writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts and translate into effective presentations to external regulators and Senior Executives
Autonomous and highly motivated with the ability to multi-task productively and to work independently as well as collaboratively
Strong attention to detail, willingness to "roll up sleeves"; ability to work under pressure and tireless work ethic
Experienced in project management with excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills
