As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing our financial strategy. You will provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, ensuring that the organisations financial health remains robust as we continue our growth trajectory.
Acquisitions and Expansion
You will play a central role in any acquisitions considered by the company. You will provide sound advice on any propositions brought to the table as we explore new opportunities for growth. You will be a pivotal role in seeing through the completion of any mergers, acquisitions or franchise partnerships we take forward.
Tech-Driven Financial Services
You will work closely with the team to develop our tech stack to deliver technology to support financial services businesses. Utilising our strong tech team our mission to deploy our tech stack to the market is of utmost importance. Within your role you will ensure that the development and deployment is a success.
Implement and oversee rigorous risk management practices to safeguard our financial assets. Your attention to detail and ability to anticipate and mitigate financial risks will be instrumental in ensuring our financial stability.
Be a dynamic leader who fosters collaboration and team cohesion. You will be responsible for continuing to inspire and mentor the team and continue to lead them through our journey of growth.
Desired Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Accounting or other financial/analytical discipline.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within the retail financial services sector.
Hands on experience of dealing with mergers and acquisitions.
Plentiful experience of management of auditors.
Strong experience of working with bookkeeping and accountancy software, e.g. Xero.
Demonstrated experience of utilising financial technology to develop and improve offerings.
The ability to think strategically and translate financial data into actionable strategies to drive business growth.
A strong commitment to accuracy, compliance and risk management, combined with the ability to maintain a high level of financial discipline.
Clear, concise and effective communication skills both written and spoken at all levels.
Be analytical and have sound problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and convert to meaningful business information.
A dynamic and approachable leadership style that can balance a rigorous approach with a sense of humour and the ability to enjoy light-hearted moments with the team.
