We are seeking a skilled and motivated software engineer to join our development team. As a Software Engineer II, you will grow with the team that architects, builds and maintains reusable software frameworks, libraries, micro services architecture patterns, and API's, and you will have the opportunities to collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure applications meet their business requirements by adopting our shared framework products. The successful candidate will be passionate about cloud technologies, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficient in software development and cloud computing.
Applies basic development tools knowledge to maintain designs to reflect modifications.
Considers the importance of industry standards/best practices/design patterns while working.
Develops unit test with minimal guidance.
Exhibits elementary knowledge of database SQL.
Exhibits elementary language knowledge proficiency; writes application modules and unit tests with guidance.
Helps with code optimization based on delegated tasks. Participates in code reviews and helps with environment build deployments; corrects identified defects and issues and finds own bugs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
3+ years Java development experience or equivalent.
Good understanding around Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Working knowledge on Linux.
Experience with test-driven development.
Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication skills.
Working experience with Cloud technologies, such as GCP, is nice-to-have, but not required.
