Hodes Weill is currently recruiting for an Associate level position to join the global Marketing & Distribution team based out of London. The individual will focus on supporting the Head of Middle East Distribution.
The ideal candidate has relevant financial sector experience with preference to candidates having private markets, real estate, and/or real assets experience. Success will require an individual to understand the Middle East investor landscape and compellingly communicate the firm’s real estate, infrastructure, and real asset client offerings. They will use this knowledge and communication skill working side by side with the Head of Middle East Distribution and Hodes Weill clients to ensure all capital raising opportunities are identified and capitalized on.
The role offers unique global exposure and experience. This individual will have visibility into all aspects of Hodes Weill’s business, clients, and products. He or she will have the opportunity to grow into direct capital raising responsibilities as their experience develops.
We seek an ambitious candidate with interest in marketing private market funds and learning about the needs of sophisticated investors across the Middle East.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Maintain, nurture, and develop relationships through frequent interaction and communication with target investors, coordinating regularly with Marketing & Distribution and Project Management colleagues
Create, manage, coordinate, and partake in country and or regional road shows to meet investors.
Work with Head of Middle East Distribution, the Project Management and client in-house teams to ensure the most efficient coverage of the target investor market
Prepare and record notes from all investor meetings on the firm’s global CRM system, Salesforce, and proactively identify and prepare next steps to advance discussions with these investors
Maintain deep knowledge and be able to effectively present key issues affecting institutional investors, from both an investment and a regulatory perspective
At all times, act as an external ambassador for Hodes Weill, adhering to the company’s core values around quality of output and customer and client services.
3-5+ relevant work experience with emphasis placed on private markets, real estate, infrastructure and/or real assets, advisory or capital raising exposure in an investment-oriented environment, e.g., investment banks, fund managers, investment consulting, strategy consultants
Preference for candidates that have basic knowledge of institutional and UHNW investors in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar)
Knowledge of key issues affecting institutional investors, from both an investment and a regulatory perspective, and how to explain them
Undergraduate degree and an excellent academic background
Arabic language fluency would be an advantage
Proven ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and geographies
