Summary :
The S&P Global Mobility North American Light Vehicle Powertrain Forecasts requires an individual to maintain and grow that forecast service. North America is one of the key production regions in the global automotive market place. Therefore, this service needs strong local analytics and representation.
TheRole:
Maintain S&P Global Mobility's Light Vehicle Powertrain Forecast for Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Collaborate with S&P Global analysts to integrate powertrain actions and sourcing patterns.
Create and deliver presentations both locally and internationally concerning the North American powertrain production environment.
The Team: You will report to the Americas Light Vehicle Powertrain forecasting manager, while working with experienced analysts from around the globe. You will join highly motivated analysts who foster teamwork and collaboration.
The Impact: This is a highly visible position as OEMs and suppliers alike are transitioning towards an electrified future. You will have a front row seat and opportunity to inform clients on numerous powertrain related topics.

Responsibilities:
Ensures timely and accurate delivery of powertrain data; ensures data integrity; uses comprehensive quality control procedures to synthesize and integrate data; Based on data analysis, can make a high-quality forecast to clients; provides constructive input within expert area to peers.
Global and regional powertrain relevant policy, regulation and industry decarbonization research and analysis. Considers these as critical powertrain forecasts boundary from regional market level to OEM level to guide powertrain products forecasts.
Client support. Respond to client product inquiries and support them with email, telephone and face-to-face meetings. Presenting to client briefings, executive briefings and similar gatherings the latest intelligence to aid clients in key decision-making.
Present powertrain forecasts insights at conferences, tradeshows, client events, webinars to promote powertrain products/service.
Project work involvement, including cross-regional and cross-team projects as needed.
What We're Looking For:
A degree in powertrain engineering, or 5+ years in related automotive experience of a technical nature.
Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); understanding of database mechanics helpful but not essential (e.g. Access, SQL)
Fluency in written and spoken English at a business level a must. An additional language, in particular Spanish, would be of advantage in this role but not required.
Organizational skills that demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks and to effectively prioritize under pressure towards tight deadlines.
Strong analysis skills and the ability to assess and interpret information.
Strong database manipulation skills.
Flexibility and the ability to creatively problem-solve.
Well-developed relationship building skills.
