Pershing Wealth Solutions serves growth-minded & professionally managed RIAs, Broker-Dealers, & Trust Companies. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Business Consulting & Practice Management team to help build out and deliver consulting services for the wealth firms with whom we work. This candidate will have the ability to develop comprehensive programs with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners, creating and delivering client-centric programs for BNY Mellon | Pershing Wealth Management clients.
The ideal candidate must bring a history of consulting, advisor coaching, professional development, marketing, business development and business management best practices for the Broker-Dealer and/or RIA channels. The ideal client will have a background working with advisors on business planning and strategy, growth and profitability, and peer-to-peer benchmarking. Experience in client relationship management, program development, project management, program delivery and 1:1 consultation is required. The successful candidate possesses program development skills to develop and deliver scalable, engaging programs for Wealth Management clients, and a proven track record of consulting and coaching with financial advisors. A wealth industry focus is required to create new thought leadership and engaging programs. You will also partner closely with the Relationship Management and Business Development teams to develop, deliver, and raise awareness of our industry-leading Consulting and Practice Management capabilities.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong business aptitude and a blend of organizational and operational competencies. As a senior consultant, you will have direct access and visibility into our executive leadership as well as our clients' executive teams and advisors.
Key responsibilities include:
Relationship management:
Work collaboratively with client facing teams, client home office and third-party contacts to integrate engagement approach with overall relationship objectives and support clients in executing on recommendations.
Lead complex business consulting engagements with clients and prospective clients. Ability to work with multiple client service team members, including business development, account and relationship management.
Develop insights, observations, and meaningful conclusions from consulting to better position Pershing's offering in the marketplace to meet our clients' needs.
Liaise with industry and professional groups and network with strategic decision makers at clients, prospects, and centers of influence.
Program development:
Partner with internal teams, external strategic partners, and SMEs to develop unique scalable programs tailored to client needs, organization requirements and business objectives.
Execute consultative methodologies to develop strategic solutions for clients and prospects that include data collection & analysis, industry analysis, competitive intelligence, and technology research.
Identify trends across consulting engagements and, leveraging market and competitive insights, recommend opportunities for new and enhanced product and technology solutions.
Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital around solutions and consulting approach to share with the market.
Lead development of innovative consulting tools, resources, and standards.
Program delivery:
Expert facilitation and presentation skills to deliver engaging practice management and business development programs to senior executives (internal and external), financial advisors, industry and professional associations.
1:1 Consultations:
Provide expert consultation and coaching, including assessments, diagnostics, recommendations, and development plans to further sales executives and financial advisor business objectives.

Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business
Financial Services experience within Wealth Management sector with prior experience in Relationship Management, Client Services or Account Management
Strong track record of business consulting, advisor marketing and business development success within the Broker-Dealer (Bank, Insurance, Independent) and RIA channels
Strong project management skills
Comfortable and effective working collaboratively across all levels of management and client relationships
Experienced with the development and delivery of practice management and consulting content, including strategies for business strategy and management, sales and marketing, human capital, team development, segmentation, and client service
Proven consultative and coaching skills building immediate credibility and trust with seasoned financial advisors and their teams
Excellent professional presentation and facilitation skills
Results-oriented, self-starter with follow through, accountability and attention to quality and detail
Ability to travel up to 50%, as needed
Series 7 & 24 preferred
BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $122,000 and $247,250 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
