Job Description: What We Are Looking For The postholder will hold a leadership position in administering a major research initiative focused on piloting solutions for emerging and pressing challenges facing the Future Church. The grant, 'The Future Church Project,' is a multifaceted $1 million project funded by the Lilly Endowment.
A bachelor's degree, three years of experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A master's degree, five years of experience, and an active Christian faith are preferred.
Applications must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Plan and execute activities of the Program for the Future Church including but not limited to 5 major convenings of scholars and practitioners.
Participate with the team in executing project deliverables.
Work with primary investigators to define the selected project's scope, deliverables, schedules, status reports, and other documentation needs in collaboration other key stakeholders.
Facilitate a collaborative process of developing and maintaining program timelines, deliverables, and work plans with project leaders across a diverse portfolio of externally funded projects.
Prepare contracts and track grantee progress for subawards of the Future Church Project
Prepare project and financial reports for funding agencies
Manage meetings and speaking events for the co-directors of the Program for the Future Church
Field inquiries related to the Program for the Future Church and The Future Church Project
Contribute to the development of new grant proposals and long-term funding strategy
Actively manage project expenses to budget, and work with colleagues and organizational leaders to resolve issues to keep projects on track and on budget
Ensure timely management of financials including invoice payment, contract negotiation, contract payments, receipt of contracted payments etc.
Work closely with Baylor's Office of the Vice Provost for Research to provide the information, documents, and data files needed to archive projects
Research and engage with possible collaborators for The Program for the Future Church and The Future Church Project (including but not limited to community leaders, church pastors, lay leaders, artists, activists, scholars, and grant funding agencies)
Assist with every aspect of the Future Church Project as needed and other duties deemed appropriate by the co-directors of the Program for the Future Church
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
