An opportunity has arisen for a Business Development professional to join a leading Hedge Fund in London. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in sales and business development within asset management, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships at all levels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Developing and implementing a comprehensive business development strategy to increase the Hedge Fund's assets under management * Building strong relationships with wealth managers and IFA firms in the UK * Developing relationships with institutional clients, including pension funds and endowments * Creating and delivering presentations to clients and prospects * Representing the Hedge Fund at industry events and conferences * Conducting market research to identify potential clients and trends in the market * Working closely with the Investment Team to develop new products and services * Working with the Investor Relations team to respond to client queries and requests * Producing regular reports on business development activity and progress
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in sales and business development within asset management * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels. * Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and client needs. * Experience with fund platforms * Experience with institutional DDQs * Effective planning, organisation and time-management skills * Strong IT skills and experience with CRM systems. * Willingness to travel extensively inside the UK and internationally.
