Overview
Key member of the Tax Run the Bank team within the Operations Reference Data Services (ORDS) function. You will be joining a team that will be responsible to ensure accurate Tax data points for the Americas region along with providing support for global tax initiatives. You will act as a tax Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting the ORDS Tax function focusing on driving compliance with tax legislation. The primary focus is US income tax regulations - Chapters 3/61, 4 (FATCA), Common Reporting Standard (CRS), 871m and 1446(f), which all have a significant impact on the Bank and influences how we comply within the onboarding and Know Your Customer (KYC) of our customers, maintain tax data for reporting to regulators and where required, ensure correct tax withholding on certain payments are applied. You will be responsible for managing the tax change activities, in addition to playing a key role in ensuring agreed standards and procedures are followed against set timelines.

What You'll Do
Analyze, Manage, and quantify Data Quality operational requirements and impact of any change initiative to the Run the Bank (RTB) processing line
Transform regulatory change requirements for RTB for operational readiness
Develop training and key operating procedures for new and existing RTB functions
Co-ordinate, monitor, document, and drive solutions to resolve issues. Strong experience of tracking resolution
Provide in-depth Tax knowledge and expertise covering complex policies, processes, products, and regulatory requirements and acts as a tax subject matter expertise on behalf of ORDS
Maintain development and storage in Policy Portal of Key Operating Procedures (KOP)s, Key Performance Indicator (KPI)s, WSPs, Desktop Procedures (DTP)s and business metrics driving organizational success
Skills You'll Need
Experience working on Operational and Information Technology (IT) change programs and proficient in Microsoft Office suite
A proven, high level of analytical and problem-solving experience. Professional will be comfortable in challenging decisions & outcomes
Break down complex situations into 'easy to understand' components by articulating strong written skills
Establish and maintain strong, well-developed relationship / stakeholder management skills
Possess high motivation, pro-active approach to situations, open minded, able to share information, knowledge, and expertise with peers & team members
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Bachelor's degree a plus in Tax (IRS Ch.61, 3, FATCA) with relevant experience
Strong attention to details with the ability to learn new practices / procedures quickly while working under pressure and within tight deadlines with no loss of accuracy
Demonstration of excellent communication skills and ability to influence
Ops 99/SIE certifications for bench strength
Innovative thinker to automate existing manual processes, eliminate process waste and streamline processes where needed, team player with the determination to learn and hardworking
Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
