The Manager, Alternatives Financial Planning & Analysis - will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of all aspects of the Alternative Funds Financial Planning and Analysis.
The qualified candidate must have the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be a self-motivated, innovative and a solution minded individual with solid communication and problem solving skills. Financial products and Alternative Funds fee structures knowledge, attention to detail, accountability, and flexibility are essential.
Primary responsibilities/essential functions: (including the following, other duties may be assigned)
Develop complex technical analysis and oversee the design and maintenance of sophisticated fund revenue forecast models from investment cash flows modelling to fund waterfall calculation
Develop and maintain top down fund level revenue and performance forecast and scenario analysis
Overseeing 5-year strategic planning and budgeting with emphasis on AUM, Revenues and P&L
Supporting Alternative Business with analysis shared internally and externally
Provide support and work closely with Product, Finance, Executive Office and HR departments
Coordinate with Executive Management, Management Boards and Portfolio Managers
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Develop and maintain internal and external presentations of process and procedures
Special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and analysis
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
Position Requirements
Minimum of five years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role. Prior FP&A and Asset Management experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
Demonstrate deep financial expertise, analytical and modelling skills
Demonstrate deep understand of Alternative funds fee structure
Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail to ensure quality work
Strong understanding of financial products including modeling
Advanced PC skills, particularly experience working with complex Microsoft Excel workbooks and basic coding such as VBA or Python
Experience overseeing IT implementation for process automation
Ability to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality. Must be able to handle extremely confidential information in an expeditious and discretionary fashion
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to effectively problem solve and make decisions
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
High quality written and verbal communication skills
Experience and ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks, challenges, and aggressive deadlines
Experience in responding effectively to inquiries from various levels of management
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 110,000.00 - $ 138,500.00
