As a Barclays Quant Analyst, you will be responsible for the support of the Equity Hybrid and Structured Products business and the Quantitative Indices and Strategies business. What will you be doing?
Being responsible for implementing new risks and models in the C++ pricing and risk library
Improving and expanding the capabilities of the C++ quant library and existing python tooling
Being responsible for providing technical expertise for the quant library ??? assist stakeholders, such as Business and IT, in resolving production issues
Working with an in-house DSL for describing exotic payoffs and utilising the DSL to develop, test, and analyse, new payoff scripts
Liaising with Trading and Structuring to determine requirements for new tools
Designing and developing infrastructure to support new tools and models
Being responsible for ensuring correctness and completeness of new tools
What we???re looking for:
Masters/PhD in a technical/numerate field (Computing, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc)
Solid programming fundamentals ??? C++/Python/etc
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
Experience with modern web frameworks
Skills that will help you in the role:
Solid python programming skills
Experience with modern serialization/communication protocols/techniques e.g. CBOR, Flat Buffers, etc
Previous exposure to financial derivatives, familiarity with quantitative finance
