Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):

Typically requires PhD or terminal degree (Masters for some Extension positions and MLS for Library positions), demonstrated ability to teach in a classroom Extension, or other setting, and develop a research program in the academic discipline/unit.

Requirements :

• Doctoral degree in Geology, or cognate field.
• A commitment to educational equity in a multicultural setting, to advancing the participation of diverse groups and to supporting diverse perspectives.
• Potential for or record of high-quality, independent scientific research in Active Tectonics and Earthquake Geology consistent with career stage.
• Potential for or record of teaching excellence and commitment to student success that benefits the graduate and undergraduate programs of the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, consistent with career stage.
• Potential for or record of mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in Active Tectonics and Earthquake Geology consistent with career stage.
• Potential to establish or record of an externally funded research program of high impact and longevity in Active Tectonics and Earthquake Geology group.
• Proficiency in oral and written English.
