The Steers Center for Global Real Estate - founded in 2015 in the McDonough School of Business - offers a specialized curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, and internship placements to undergraduate and graduate students, providing them with access to the real estate industry at a global level.
Job Overview
The Executive Assistant provides administrative and business support to the leadership team of MSB's Steers Center for Global Real Estate.
They are responsible for managing the schedule, calendar, and other affairs for the Center's Director and Managing Director, including prioritizing and scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements and detailed itineraries, processing accounts payable, supporting Steers' student group activity as directed, maintaining files and office supplies as required, and having limited interaction with Steers advisory board and alumni.
As well, they support the Marketing & Events Coordinator in the execution of Center events; and manage the day- to-day administrative tasks of the Center as directed.
Work Interactions
Reporting directly to the Director of the Steers Center for Global Real Estate, the Executive Assistant interacts with the Steers Center leadership team, including the Steers Real Estate Managing Director, Steers Chair, Clark Chair, Office of Marketing and Communications, Academic Directors, MSB students and faculty at MSB - as well as with members of the University MSB Staff and with external speakers, business professionals and alumni.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years of relevant/professional experience supporting executive-level management - preferably outside of higher education
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-directed and detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Webpage maintenance skills, database management skills, and basic design skills
Basic project management skills for directing diverse groups, often to tight deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficiency with in LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram social media platforms
Ability to review, understand, and report on Google Analytics results
Ability to work responsibly and prioritize tasks with little guidance and prioritize tasks
Comfortable working within diverse groups of constituents within the University in the execution of Steers Center business
