??? Responsible for design and development of the new components and services in fixed income trading Credit Platform; ??? Enhance and develop the reusable application components that can be leveraged in other development areas; ??? Collaborate with traders, operations and support team to analyze new requirements, explain new features and investigate reported issues; ??? Optimize application performance by profiling, finding inefficiencies and bottlenecks; ??? Coordinate with global development team to release the deliverables within timelines; ??? Communicate to testing team the requirements so they can conduct various testing strategies like functional, regression and performance for the developed components in user acceptance testing; ??? Participate in writing the Unit Test cases, Automation Test cases for the developed components and making sure the integration testing is successful to avoid hampering any other existing functionality; ??? Participate in activities to successfully build, deploy and release the applications into quality assurance (QA), User Acceptance Test (UAT) and production environments; ??? Update the Jira workflow from Analysis, development, review, unit testing and post release verification with evidences; and ??? Provide support to the production issues and maintenance activities for all existing Business As Usual operations.
What we're looking for:
Requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or a related field and at least five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Software/Java Developer, or related position. Must have experience with each of the following required skills: Using Core Java to understand existing code and make changes to code for given requirements; Using multi-threaded Java to design efficient code that can deliver the speed and efficiency needed for the CATS Trading System; Utilizing existing SQL Queries and Stored procedures used in Java code and amending/writing new Java code utilizing PL-SQL; Designing and developing solutions to Business Requirements using knowledge of Financial Products; Trade Lifestyle and trading system, Settlement Process and Regulatory reporting; Utilizing spring framework and making changes to code using the framework; and Designing and developing code using Software design patterns.
