DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS NATIONAL TELERADIOLOGY PROGRAM (NTP) is looking for Radiologists to fill immediate positions.
Our mission is to serve our nation’s veterans by providing general and subspecialty 24/7/365 high quality final read teleradiology service to VA Medical Centers across the nation.
We are hiring for the 4:30 pm – 2:30 am Pacific Time shift, worked in a compressed schedule of ten hour shifts averaging 40hrs/week, 40 weekend shifts minimum per year. This equates to approximately 170 ten hour shifts a year accounting for vacation, CME and 11 federal holidays. Given the hours, living in Hawaii or the west coast is preferred.
Current need is for fellowship trained Chest and Body imagers. Other subspecialities will also be considered. Staff typically read about 30-40% in their subsubspecialty and 60-70% general radiology.
This is a full-time federal employment position with the Department of Veterans Affairs that offers the ability to work from home as well as any of our four reading centers, competitive pay, a generous benefits package including a 401K with up to 5% government match, a government pension, and an attractive work schedule that affords time to pursue other interests or travel.
Top end PACS and administrative support. Easy access to integrated VA-wide EMR and all prior imaging available for nearly every veteran.
Candidates must be United States citizens and have an unrestricted license to practice medicine. American Board of Radiology eligibility/certification is a requirement. Significantly, malpractice insurance is covered by the federal government and no private malpractice insurance is required for work with NTP.
If you are interested in applying, please forward your CV and cover letter to Alisa.Merriott@va.gov. Inquiries without a cover letter and CV will not be considered. Please put “Staff position 4:30p – 2:30a” in the subject line.
